President's Message

Dear Colleagues

 

I take pride in saying that Delhi Rheumatology Association is one of the most vibrant chapters of Indian Rheumatology Association. I convey my gratitude and thank all the members of the society for conferring on me this honour and responsibility.

 

The success of any association depends on the team. We can dream of DRA’s growth as the beginning of a journey toward becoming a world class institute of rheumatology. I am sure we will serve the purpose of DRA in grand fashion with the fruitful guidance of Prof. AN Malviya, Dr. SJ Gupta, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Rohini Handa, Dr. Rajiva Gupta, Dr. Ved Chaturvedi, Dr. Uma Kumar, Dr. Sunil Attri and Dr. Sundeep Upadhyaya.

 

Rheumatology remains a fascinating clinical discipline and recent advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis of various serious systemic inflammatory conditions have translated into newer medications leading to better treatment modalities. In this era of explosive expansion of knowledge in the field of rheumatology, it is essential that a dedicated effort is made by all rheumatologists to update not only their own knowledge but also disseminate the same to our upcoming future doctors.

 

The membership of DRA has been growing steadily and there is no doubt that Rheumatology is a highly promising field at present.

 

I am confident that the DRA will provide the perfect stage to hold regular CME programmes, annual updates, orations and guest lectures to keep all of us abreast with newer trends in the field of Rheumatology.
