Monthly Academic Meetings
DRA Monthly Clinical Meet / Academic Case Discussion Program
The Delhi Rheumatology Association (DRA) organizes regular Academic Clinical Meetings under the guidance of the President, DRA, and coordination of the Honorary Secretary, DRA, as part of its continuing medical education and academic activities. These meetings are allotted every month to a participating hospital/institution in the Delhi NCR region and are conducted for all members of DRA, including DM/DNB residents, fellows, and young rheumatologists.
The meetings are generally held on the last Wednesday of every month, except during the periods of the DRA Annual Update, DRA Mid Term CME, and the Annual Conference of the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRACON).
Academic Format
During each meeting, the host hospital presents interesting, challenging, and important rheumatology cases encountered at their institution. The cases are discussed in detail with active participation from attending senior faculty members, rheumatologists, consultants, fellows, residents, and postgraduate students.
The discussions focus on clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, investigations, imaging, immunological workup, management strategies, and recent advances relevant to the presented cases. The meetings provide a highly interactive academic environment aimed at enhancing practical clinical knowledge and promoting evidence-based patient care.
Participation and Academic Exchange
The program serves as an important platform for academic interaction, interdisciplinary discussion, and mentorship among rheumatologists and trainees across Delhi NCR institutions. It encourages collaborative learning, exchange of clinical experiences, and exposure to a wide spectrum of rheumatological disorders and management approaches.
The initiative reflects DRA’s ongoing commitment towards strengthening rheumatology education, improving clinical acumen among trainees and young rheumatologists, and fostering academic collaboration among institutions in the region.
