Dear Colleagues,
I take immense pride in stating that the Delhi Rheumatology Association is one of the most vibrant chapters of the Indian Rheumatology Association. I sincerely express my gratitude to all members of the society for conferring upon me this honour and responsibility.
The success of any association lies in the strength of its team. Together, we can envision the growth of DRA as the beginning of a journey toward becoming a world-class institution in the field of rheumatology. I am confident that, under the invaluable guidance of Prof. A.N. Malviya, Dr. S.J. Gupta, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Rohini Handa, Dr. Rajiva Gupta, Dr. Ved Chaturvedi, Dr. Uma Kumar, Dr. Sunil Attri, and Dr. Sundeep Upadhyaya, Dr. Atul Kakar, we will achieve the objectives of DRA in a remarkable manner.
Rheumatology continues to be a fascinating clinical discipline. Recent advances in understanding the pathogenesis of various systemic inflammatory diseases have led to the development of newer therapies, significantly improving treatment outcomes. In this era of rapid expansion of knowledge, it is essential for all rheumatologists to not only keep themselves updated but also actively contribute to educating and guiding the next generation of medical professionals.
The membership of DRA has been steadily growing, reflecting the increasing interest and promise of rheumatology as a specialty.
I am confident that DRA will continue to provide an excellent platform for organizing regular CME programmes, annual updates, orations, and guest lectures, ensuring that we all remain abreast of the latest developments in the field.
